"Clothing and accessories,  left behind, can carry traces of the personalities and lifestyles of their past owners.  With a pinhole camera, I endeavor to capture the aura of the departed by posing castoffs in tableaus which recall activities of former lives.  Photograms are the most direct transcriptions.  The garment  or accessory laid on photosensitive paper and exposed to light commits a phantom self to be a record.
